Classes Available:

Technology Studies - It is one class that encompasses 9 different subject areas and multiple levels in each area.  Multiple learning styles are addressed, the students are engaged and producing products from their newly gained knowledge.  http://mylps.org/ The 9 Subjects include: Architecture, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Communication (Digital Video & Audio), Graphic Design, Web Design, Animation, Manufacturing, Robotics & Industrial Design.  org

Design Projects - Students design and build projects.  We usually do 3 projects per semester that are chosen by the students.  We have worked on anything from catapults, to helicopters, to graphic design projects to skate/longboards.

Design Technology - 6th subject area for the IB program OR taken for a certificate if you are not in the IB program.  Prerequisite is taking Technology Studies - CAD 1 minimum.  If you believe engineering is your calling, then this is THE class for you.

Woods - Yes it's BACK!!!  We are excited to annouce that wood shop is back at LHS.  Students are working on a variety of projects from turning on mini lathes to bending wood, carving, routing bowls and building silver caddys.

 Technology Student Association (TSA) - after school club that allows the students to compete in 43 different events.  There are State and National levels of competition, LHS is 10 of the past 11 year's state champions.  We meet the first and third Thursdays, 2:20 - 3:00 pm in room 150.
