CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT
Attention FBLA: Posted today outside of the Business Office Rm 127 is the Executive Officer Team for the 2008-2009 school year. Please congratulate these fine individuals and FBLA will be in full swing in August…come and check us out!
Attention NEW Link Leaders! Our mandatory May Play Day will be held on Tuesday, May 20th at 11:30 in the North Gym. You must attend as important summer training and orientation information will be given.
ACADEMIC ANNOUNCEMENTS
Attention students in Mrs. Martin’s 8th period Personal Finance class…please stop by and pick up your financial portfolio before you leave today in the Business Office.
The Counseling Department will not be doing any more schedule adjustments until Mon., May 19. Please stop by the main office or counseling office this week to pick up an information sheet thoroughly describing the 2008-09 Course Schedule Adjustment process BEFORE coming to see your counselor.
All 9th, 10th and 11th grade students: your schedules for next year have been created! Unfortunately, you cannot view it through the student portal, but you CAN see your counselors to make adjustments. All students should see their counselors before the end of the year to correct any misplacements or scheduling conflicts before May 30th. You are permitted one adjustment meeting so the earlier you see your counselor, the more likely you will be to get the schedule you want for next year. Don’t put it off!
SPECIAL EVENTS
IT’S A PARTY!! IT’S BLOOMIN, BLINGIN, SPRING FLINGIN TIME AT LHS!!! Student Council is throwing the whole school a party today!!! It’s called SPRING FLING AND IT’S A ROCKIN GOOD TIME!!! After the senior assembly , everyone goes down to the grass soccer fields for some free food, some bouncy castle action, some music, some volleyball, a little Frisbee, and much much more!!! The fun goes from 2:30-4:30 so stick around and have some FUN IN THE SUN!!
Hey everyone! Come compete in the guitar hero tournament today at Spring Fling. Only $1 to play and a $50 cash prize for the winner. Registration is between 2:30 and 3:30. Remember to bring your friends along and challenge them to a guitar hero battle.
OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS
Seniors: if you did not pick up your cap and gowns yet, you may pick them up in the attendance office.
The Library staff would like to remind everyone that ALL library materials were due on Monday, May 12th. Please return any books, calculators, magazines or other items that you have checked out as soon as possible, so that your account can be cleared.
SPORTS
Attention All Gymnasts: There will be a short meeting in the south gym on Wednesday, May 21 at 11:20 a.m. Come and meet our new LHS gymnastics coach!
After your exams are completed on Monday and Tuesday, come out to Raccoon Creek Golf Course to cheer on senior Becca Huffer as she competes for her second golf championship. She will tee off at about 10:30 on both days that means you will still be able to see her play more than half her round. Good luck Becca and play well!
