Ten late starts provide time for Professional Learning Communities

Ten mornings during the 2009-2010 school year, the school day will begin two hours later. During this time, teachers will participate in Professional Learning Communities.

The following school days will begin two hours later:

Wednesday, September 30, 2009 
Wednesday, October 21, 2009  
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 
Wednesday, December 9, 2009 
Wednesday, January 13, 2010 
Wednesday, February 3, 2010 
Wednesday, February 24 2010 
Wednesday, April 7, 2010 
Wednesday, May 5, 2010  

Buses will run later on the 10 late-start PLC days as well. These times will be reflected in the bus schedule that will be sent to parents prior to the beginning of the school year.

The ensure safety, please make sure your student arrives at school at the later start time on those 10 days and not before. The school will NOT provide supervision for students who arrive early.

As a reminder, LPS will call and leave a recorded message for families prior to each of the 10 late-start days.
