Independent Study Option
Independent Study (Ind. Study) may be pursued in any department of the school. Credit and grade are assigned upon completion of the requirements outlined in an individual independent study contract between teacher and student.
Grade Option: Pass/Fail
Students, of any grade level have the option of taking a maximum of five credits per semester on a pass/fail graded basis; however, pass or fail options are not cumulative.
- This option is open for all grades, and any course up to a total of 5 credits per semester.
- The Pass/Fail option can be exercised through the fourteenth week of the semester. Date TBD.
- Students dropped for lack of attendance in a course taken with this grade option will receive an "F" for the semester.
- Students who produce quality work can have the option of changing a "Pass" to a letter grade. However, the grade can only be changed in accordance with a written agreement made with the cooperating teacher after a reasonable time following the semester final.
